Special Characters
In HTML there are certain characters you can not 'just type in'. An example is the '<' character. You can not just insert a '<' because the '<' has special meaning in HTML. To write such 'special characters' you need used special 'escape sequences' (ie. < for '<'). HTML Web Weaver allows you to add and edit your own special characters.
To Add tags you either need to drop a Special Characters file in the Special Characters'folder which is inside the 'HTML Extensions' folder , or you can create a special character yourself.
To create your own special characters...
- Select the 'Create Special Character Tag' from the sub-menu of 'Special Characters' menu item of the 'Edit' menu.
- When the window appears enter any relevant information.
- Name - is the name of the special character, this name will appear on the sub-menu of 'Special Characters' in the 'Tags' menu.
-
- Escape Sequence - is the HTML tag used to display the special character.
-
- When you choose 'Okay', HTML Web Weaver will create the special characters tag and add it to the 'Special Characters' folder.
